A Fun History on How We Started

My former retreat co-host and I met at a Yoga with Alpacas event that I offered a couple of years ago. Jeremy and I had always had mutual friends on social media but never met in person before this event. He loves animals and yoga and loves taking his kids to events like these too! After we finished up with yoga, he asked me if I was interested in hosting yoga retreats and of course, I said yes! Then he proceeded to tell me how his family had built a private villa in Jamaica just a short walk from the beautiful clear blue ocean. 

The villa was called Castaways. Jeremy’s family has a long history with volleyball - refereeing games, setting up and hosting big tournaments, etc. We hosted our first retreat that next April in 2024 with much success and decided this was going to be an annual event! 2026 update - The former Castaways villa has recently been sold and is now under new ownership and is called the Fisherman’s Inn. I have decided and moved our retreat location over to the Silver Sands community which is a private gated villa neighborhood just down the street from our former location. This was because I wanted to keep the affordable all-inclusive nature of my yoga retreats that I started with Castaways ongoing.

The new location of Clearview Villa at Silver Sands for the 2026 retreat is amazing! This villa comes fully staffed with a chef and service persons. I am so very grateful for the partnership with Jeremy and his family that opened up the amazing opportunity and connections for me to continue to host yoga retreats in this beautiful area of Duncan’s, Jamaica.
